Hiu is a high-achieving HSC graduate with an ATAR of 99.50, earning Band 6 and E4 results across both humanities and STEM subjects. Her results include Chemistry (92), Modern History (96), English Advanced (91), English Extension 1 (48/50), English Extension 2 (49/50), Mathematics Advanced (97), and Mathematics Extension 1 (47/50). She is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney.

Since completing the HSC, Hiu has worked as a private tutor and debating coach in both one-on-one and group settings, developing a flexible and student-focused teaching style. In English, she emphasises that strong results come from consistent effort and clear structure rather than innate talent, guiding students through exemplar responses and simplifying complex themes.
