90 PLUS in my eyes
1.Olivia and Ophelia Yu
We are the new immigrants. After attending high school in Australia, we found that English was the most difficult subject of all. In yr11 we attended 90+ lessons. Our tutor was very clear about our weaknesses and was able to help us according to our needs. At the same time, a large number of practice papers for examination techniques, as well as a systematic review of all topics prior to the exam consolidated the knowledge points and improved our examination results. Also, in physics and chemistry, great exercises helped us to establish better knowledge and we finally achieved ATAR of 99+. Therefore, we were grateful to the 90+tutors for their professional performance and patience that helps to bring our achievements today.
I started attending 90+ tutoring class for ESL in term 4 of year 10, seeking to improve my English skills as an international student. My tutor Macy Jong, a very experienced ESL tutor, offered great help in text analysing, language techniques and essay writing. Later I attended 90+ chemistry class because my school teacher was unclear in explaining some concepts. My 90+ chemistry tutor, Ming organised revision and practice questions according to my study needs and exam time. Thanks to 90+, my school performance in both ESL and Chemistry increased dramatically, and I achieved an ATAR of 96.4! I really appreciate the great help that 90+ has offered me.

In Yr11 I found out about 90+ education centre through my friend. At first I was only seeking preparation for the Yr11 yearly exam. In Yr12 I chose 4Unit Math so I was worried that I could be behind my peers without tutoring. I started Math and English lessons in 90+. My Math tutor Joe helped me improve by teaching me contents that my school teacher did not explain and providing many practice questions. Additionally, My English tutor Macy taught me useful techniques on textual analysis and essay writing. Prior to the HSC, my marks were estimated to be below band 6. However, 90+ offered me all-subject revision sessions to improve my performance and I finally achieved Band 6 in both 3U and 4U and No1. in Chinese. The help from 90+ enabled me to become a Medical Science student in USYD. I felt very grateful to 90+ education centre.
I started with 90+ tuition hoping to increase my math scores. As I was anticipating to receive good results, 90+ helped me arranged the most targeted one-on-one lessons. After starting the one-on-one lesson, my performance has improved remarkably. Later on, I hoped to get into medical school, so 90+ arranged ISAT classes for me. The 90+ teachers arranged a week of intensive ISAT classes. Through detailed explanations and examination techniques and lots of training, I achieved ISAT mark of 88. Therefore, I successfully entered Western Sydney Medical School.
When I was in yr10, I discovered 90+ through my classmates. When I first came to Australia I felt the learning system was very different from China. My academic performance was not at an ideal level, and there was no systematic study plan. After coming to 90+, experienced mentors and course consultants developed a reasonable course selection plan and very detailed study arrangements based on my situation. And they taught me how to effectively avoid weaknesses and utilize my own strengths in English and Science studies. This led to success in the final HSC exam and I made significant progress in mathematics, physics and English. In the end, I was able to reach the desired target and achieved my study goal.
I am an international student and 90+ Education Centre was introduced by my friends. Initially, I wanted to extend my knowledge for chemistry and physics. Later I discovered that my English level was not proficient enough, so I chose to add an extra English lesson. My tutors successfully guided me in answering the questions with skills and priorities. Eventually, I achieved an ATAR of 95.8 and entered USYD to study Advanced Computing & commerce. I am very thankful to the help from 90+!
My friend recommended me to 90+ education centre. Due to the fact that my school Chemistry teacher was unclear in certain parts so I was very confused. Through intensive practice questions from 90+, especially before the trials and HSC. My grades were improving stably. I finally achieved an ideal ATAR and successfully entered USYD studying Commerce.
I chose 90+ to improve my Physics, English and 2U Math. Before studying at 90+, I was an unmotivated student. During study time at home I would play games and there was a lack of effort in my homework. And also I was struggling with the kinds of questions I should practice. Since studying at 90+ I studied with my peers 3-4 times per week in 90+ spare classrooms, working on practice questions and discussing with my peers. This allowed me to use my time wisely and efficiently as I was motivated. My tutor also scheduled an intensive study plan prior to the HSC to prepare for the HSC. Due to the change of the 2017 syllabus I was short of time in completing the extra part of writing. This was my only regret and I wish I had listened to the advice my tutor provided me which was to practice my writing speed.
I am a local student, who had lessons in Yr12 with 90+ for Economics with tutor Eugenia. In Yr11 I barely passed my Economics exam because my previous institution in Yr11 did not organise a scheduled study plan so my homework was not on time and procrastination occurred. The tutor Eugenia set a long term personalised study plan and regular tasks for my studies. She also taught me how to implement the theories and concepts into exam questions. Rather than memorising the concepts she provided me with actual case studies to practice. I also attended holiday lessons with her to practice each Essay topic and exam questions. With lots of help from 90+ I achieved 85 in Economics and an ATAR of 90.95 which is a major improvement from where I started.

We are from Selective Schools, North Sydney Boys and Sydney Boys. Prior to studying at 90+, we were experiencing great difficulties with constructing an argument, in-depth analysis and comparing writers and their opinions in our essay. Our tutor, Paul was a well experienced school teacher so he is familiar with the HSC syllabus. He helped us construct arguments that could precisely express our views on texts. He discussed the components of the essays and the author’s point of argument. He offered many new thoughts and taught us new techniques, which enabled us to be clear of how we could express ourselves and effectively present the essay techniques. 90+ has definitely assisted us greatly in achieving our goals.
I was an international student graduated from The Kings, a private high school. 90+ has offered me great help. At times when I encountered concerns regarding my studies, 90+ always assisted me in answering my questions clearly. The tutors are professional and enthusiastic in helping me improve my marks. 90+ has shaped me significantly and it is because 90+ that I am to become a student in Engineering in UNSW.
I am a local student with Chinese background, who went to Cheltenham Girls High School. During Year 12 I came to 90+ education centre seeking to improve my Chemistry and Math in one-to-one lessons. At that time, when I experienced difficulties in my studies I was reluctant to seek help as I had a strong self- esteem. Therefore, I also attended the school holiday course to further extend my knowledge and learn from other students’ mistakes. The holiday course assisted me a lot as when my peers asked questions and I would listen. At first, my estimated marks were below average but after a period of time studying at 90+, there was a major improvement. Thanks to 90+ who helped me achieve the results and under their help, now I’m currently studying nursing at UTS.
I am an ABC and graduated from Hornsby Girls Selective High School. I was a top 3 student in all my subjects except for Biology. I was lacking confidence and experienced difficulties in answering questions because I had uncertainties in exam styled questions that I had not adapted to. However, I arrived at 90+ to develop my knowledge and skills towards the subject. My tutor assisted me in achieving my goals so I came first in HSC Biology and All Rounder in my school. The 90+ tutors provided me trial questions based on the HSC exam and solved my concerns. Therefore, I was able to achieve the above results. I appreciate 90+ for assisting with my studies and being helpful in achieving my studies. I got the offer from USYD in November after HSC and I am now studying Law in USYD.
I am an ABC who studied at Sydney Grammar School, a selective school. I was hoping to achieve a Band 6 in all my subjects so I came to 90+. I had VIP one-to-one lessons for Chemistry and holiday classes in both 3U Math and 4U Math. My tutors helped me further enhance my skills in order to achieve Band 6. At a later stage I also had UMAT classes with tutor Teodora. My Chemistry and 4U Math results were above 90 and 3U Math was a high score of 98, and I came All Rounder in my school. The final ATAR was 99.6, and I am currently studying Medicine at UNSW.
I’m an international student, who arrived in Australia during year 10 and attended Ashfield Boys High School. My parents and I were worried about my ATAR as the school I went to was low ranked and study materials provided were very limited. Also my basic knowledge and skills were not very good. Additionally, my subject selections did not have a high scaling so this could impact my ATAR. Therefore, during the second term of Yr12 I decided to attend tutoring lessons at 90+. I studied 2Unit Math with tutor Steven and Economics with tutor Eugenia. I also joined the holiday course for Math which helped me with revision and further enhanced my skills. Initially, my weaknesses in Economics were problems with the essay structure and my arguments were not strong enough so it was unconvincing. My tutors developed plans to focus on my weaknesses. As a result, I achieved an ATAR of 96.8, second in my school. I strongly appreciate my tutors at 90+ for their efforts in assisting me with my results.
